Clean Air Asia

Description

Clean Air Asia is an international non-governmental organisation leading the regional mission for better air quality and healthier, more livable cities throughout Asia. Our mission is to reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions in Asia and contribute to the development of a more sustainable, equitable, and healthier region.

Our work focuses on implementing solutions that reduce air pollution and its detrimental health impacts and mitigate the climate crisis. We do so by providing policy guidance, building capacity, and making a compelling case for action among stakeholders at the city, national, and regional levels. Since 2008, we have been a United Nations-recognised partnership comprised of more than 250 organisations in Asia and internationally, with six Country Networks (Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam). Our headquarters are in Manila, Philippines, and we have offices in Beijing, China, and New Delhi, India.

Role and Key Contribution to the Project

Clean Air Asa will facilitate collaboration and coordination among stakeholders at the urban, national, and regional levels in Asia, ensuring that their needs and interests are represented and aligned for the GIANTS project’s user-focused development of innovative electric mobility solutions. By fostering dialogues and forming strategic partnerships, Clean Air Asia will provide on-the-ground support to partners and stakeholders for the successful implementation and monitoring of electric vehicle demonstrations. We will strive to disseminate the lessons learned, challenges, and experiences of the GIANTS project through knowledge exchange programs between relevant key stakeholders and project partners as well as to our established partner linkages and country networks in the Asia region. We are eagerly anticipating contributing to this innovative project as we advocate for the wide-scale adoption of sustainable transport solutions and policies, striving towards better air quality and healthier, more livable cities.
