We recently advanced the development of a resource-efficient, zero-emission vehicle specifically designed for urban mobility. Through system validation tests recently conducted at the Virtual Vehicle’s powertrain test bench, we observed how the key components of the GIANTS platform communicate and work together.
These components include a standardized Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) and Electric Drive Unit (EDU) from VALEO, a modular battery system from CLEANTRON, a solar panel kit from SOLBIAN, and an IoT device from HiWiTronics. All components are integrated into the Squad lab-car.
The platform is based on standardized mechanical, electrical, and communication interfaces, which enable a modular design. This allows different vehicle configurations tailored to a wide range of use cases, from commercial applications to passenger transport and across both emerging and advanced markets.
