The Annual POLIS Conference 2024 took place on 27. and 28. November in Karlsruhe, Germany. As Europe’s leading event on sustainable urban mobility, the conference provided a platform for cities and regions to showcase their transport achievements and engage with a wide audience of mobility experts, practitioners and decision-makers from the public and private sectors.
The conference addressed critical areas such as transport efficiency, accessibility, and road safety, which are closely aligned with GIANTS’ mission to promote frugal and sustainable urban mobility. Topics such as ‘Navigating intelligent traffic management’ and ‘Unlocking the last mile’ resonated with GIANTS’ focus on innovative solutions for zero-emission urban vehicles.
The POLIS booth showcased also the GIANTS project and gave visitors the opportunity to learn more about GIANTS’ efforts to create adaptable, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly vehicles that prioritise recyclability and refurbishment throughout their lifecycle. The Annual POLIS Conference 2024 provided a valuable opportunity to share the vision and achievements of GIANTS to date.
